VIDEO: Peace Corps Philippines: Training in Bagac

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRun424D4Ss]
Swearing-In was only a few days ago and Pre- Service training (PST) has come to an end. There have been many long hours of language and strenuous days of planning large events for the community. However, I can say I feel I am adequately prepared to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer and serve in my permanent site. I will be placed in Laua-an, Antique in the western visayas region on the Panay island. I will be working with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the Pantawid Pamilyang Philipino Program.

The video I have put together is a compilation of video footage I have taken around the municipality of Bagac with the intention of showing you a little bit of what my life is like as Peace Corps Traniee. This video is from the perspective of just one Children, Youth, and Family volunteer in Bagac.

Other components of PST not shown:

Safety and Security Training Sessions
Medical Training Sessions
Community Project Planning
Street Immersion in Manila
Life Skills Demonstration
Overnight youth camp
etc.
