Midwest Natural Hair Health & Beauty Expo 2013

This past weekend I went to the Midwest Natural Hair Health & Beauty Expo in Fairview Heights, IL. I was immediately greeted with a gift bag for being one of the first 200 guest at the event.

After my warm greeting, I attended "How to Create Moisture Drenched Hair"  workshop. This was one of the many great workshops people are able to attend. The presenter of this workshop was Erica Brown-Gayles, Natural Hair Consultant & Owner of Curly Dew. I really enjoyed hearing from her. She provided information on some of the main causes of dry hair, common "Natural Girl" mistakes, and 5 Key Ingredients to look for.  I gained a lot from this workshop that I plan to apply to my daily routine.

Some of the other workshops included, basic braiding and twisting techniques, hair/head wrapping and transitioning to natural hair.

In the main showroom there were a number of vendors selling products and service: Jewelry, clothes, accessories, even massages. I spent way more money than I attended but it was well worth it. Below are pictures from my favorite vendors.
