Here’s my #TBT This is for all the ESGPPA grantees. I’m so proud of you and everything you have accomplished. MABUHAY! This was me 6 years ago and one month from today I will be wearing a cap and gown once again #TheNaturalTravelista #blackgirlmagic #esgppa #philippines #blackandeducated
Reflected on Quarter 1 of 2018. Spent the weekend realigning and recalibrating and now I’m about to take over Quarter 2. Just you wait..... #thenaturaltravelista #growth #selfcare
Semi-finalist is a far as I go with Fulbright this year. Everyone keeps telling me to apply again next year but I'm not sure I want to. This was my second year applying and I am drained. I feel like the universe is trying to tell me to sit my butt down somewhere and finally get a job so I can make money to do the things I really want to do. Thanks for everyones support along the way. Now I'm torn between shutting out the world for the weekend, intensely finishing up my capstone or doing a strenuous job search this weekend.
Welcome to the bond! The newest class of the Theta Phi chapter of Tau Beta Sigma. Congratulations to the Spring 18 Sigma Class #ITB #TBSigma #TBS #ThetaPhi #MOTS
Last week, I was awarded the Excellence in International Education Outstanding Volunteer Award at the North Carolina Association of International Educators (NCAIE) Annual State Conference. This award honors those who have made a significant contribution as a community volunteer who is committed to internationalism at a local academic institution and whose contributions and accomplishments in international education are unselfish and exemplary. ———————————————————— I had no idea I was being considered for this award, so the announcement was a complete surprise as many in the room may have noticed from my facial expressions. This recognition is just one example of the great support that I have received during my short time in North Carolina. I feel very fortunate to be affiliated with NCAIE and I can only express my sincerest thanks.
The future Global Citizens. These students were selected to participate in a service learning opportunity for to study the unique attributes of French/Haitian Creole language and rich culture. Our hope is for them to broaden their understanding of another culture, enhance their leadership skills, and make a meaningful contribution in the local community of Port-su-Prince and Les Cayes, Haiti 🇭🇹 ———————————————————— The cost of the trip is $2,331 per student. We need $5,000. If we could get 150 people to donate at least $30, we can reach our goal. A $30 donation could make a huge difference in so many lives. ————————————————————- Please partner with us as our students become footnotes in the powerful stories of Haiti. Link for the Go Fund Me campaign is in the bio section. #haiti #studyabroad #studyabroadsoblack #globalcitizen #hbcusabroad #TheNaturalTravelista
